                         The bark-on legs, fashioned from naturally-bending hickory logs, bring a rustic elegance to this server with leather straps. The mortise and tenon joinery used is as durable and reliable today as it was when introduced thousands of years ago. The standard finish draws out the natural colors in the wood and seals and protects.

Our craftspeople hand-peel the logs to preserve all their innate beauty - knots, beetle galleries, natural bends – and to ensure no two pieces look quite the same. Among the most dense and durable hardwoods in North America, we kiln-dry our hickory to remove moisture and tighten the bark around the logs to accentuate the dazzling array of textures. The bark-on logs and live-edge tops bring to our furniture an unmatched natural elegance. The dramatic contrast of colors - from coffee to caramel to blond -  and gorgeously complex graining patterns help to create a timeless look brimming with rustic appeal.
