Hand-peeled logs preserve all the innate beauty of the hickory used in this 92-inch-wide home bar. The bark-on trim brings a natural elegance to the piece. The dramatic contrast of colors – from coffee to caramel to blond – and gorgeously complex graining patterns help to create a timeless look brimming with rustic appeal. The two levels of live-edge tops boast an upgrade armor finish. The finish, which provides a medium satin sheen, uses a quality, post-catalyzed, alkyd-amino varnish that is formulated to offer superior durability and UV protection. It also helps prevent scratching and denting. Multiple stain options are available. At the left, a large drawer and two facing doors below it provide for storage of bottles, glasses and other barkeep essentials. At right is a space that can accommodate a small refrigerator. The middle is a wine rack that awaits your favorite selections. At the base of the guest side, a bark-on log offers a place to rest weary feet. The face of the guest side is accented by three panels of bark-on hickory. We use full-extension, ball bearing glides rated at a stout 100 pounds in the soft-close drawers, which employ dovetail joints proven for centuries to be a durable technique. The door hinges are concealed Euro-style to give the piece its clean profile. The bark-on pulls agree with this striking piece.
