                         Rare and exceptionally fine, this Mozambique purple garnet must be seen to fully appreciate its display of color and splendor.

Faceted oval in shape, it has a weight of 10.48 carats! Its hue is deep amethyst in color, but far more radiant than one, possessing intense highlights more akin to that of a sapphire. 

It is surrounded by a rim of 16 brilliant cut diamonds carrying a total weight of .96 carats. White and prismatic, their color is H-I and their clarity VS2-SI1. 

These are placed into pointed shaped 14k white gold, the halo or cluster effect is that of a star or rays emanating from the center.  

A high polished tailored shank places the focus on the gemstone and diamonds. 

Note: Mined in only one small area of Mozambique, and recently discovered in 2016, these are the only purple garnets of their type in the world. The mine produces a very limited supply of gem quality garnets, and fewer still of those larger than a few carats each. Further political unrest and regional conflicts continue to restrict these exceptional gemstones from coming into the marketplace.
