                         Antique 14k gold mourning locket from the Victorian era. The locket is solid gold and set with a large black banded agate cabochon. The gold is decorated with black enamel ivy leaves; a popular mourning jewelry motif from the 1800s. Ivy leaves were meant to represent everlasting love and attachment and were used in both mourning and sentimental jewelry. There is a glass photo compartment in the back.

Measurements: Approx 27mm x 22.4 mm. I will include a new 18” gold filled chain. 

Condition: Incredible antique condition with very minimal enamel loss. The agate stone is in excellent condition with no chips or scratches.
